The above price is based on a group of 4 people travelling in recent seasons. It includes the accommodation at a 3-star hotel in Lhasa and Tsedang, one private car, driver and local Tibetan English-speaking tour guide, etc.

This Lhasa cultural exploration tour focuses on Lhasa and the Yarlung Valley which is recognized as the Cradle of Tibetan Civilization. It covers most important highlights in Lhasa and the Valley to lead you experience the mysterious Tibetan culture, religion and history as well as enjoy the classic beauty of the high plateau.

Sightseeing in Lhasa will give you a glimpse of Tibetan culture and a more cultural experience, you can add a tour to Yarlung valley if you have about 5 or 6 days. At this valley, Tibetan people built their first Buddhist monastery and the first palace. When visiting these historical sites, you gain a better understanding of the rich and unique Tibetan culture, religion and people.

Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa

Your Tibetan English-speaking tour will greet you with the traditional scarf called “Hada” in Tibetan language and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. Upon arrival, it is free for you to acclimatization the altitude.

Day 2 Sightseeing In Lhasa

Meet you at your hotel at the appointed time and start our first-day sightseeing in Lhasa:

Potala Palace – the greatest architectural wonder in Tibet;

Jokhang Temple – the holiest monastery in the region;

Barkhor Street – probably one of the most interesting street in the world, which is a sacred circuit around the Jokhang Temple and also a shopping center in Lhasa.

Day 3 Sightseeing in Lhasa

Our second-day sightseeing in Lhasa will cover the followings:

Drepung Monastery – once the largest monastery in the world;

Sera Monastery – well-known for the Buddhism Scripture Debate between Lamas which is usually available every afternoon from Monday to Friday.

Local Tibetan Family Visit – During the visit, you can discuss or ask any questions you are interested in.

Day 4 Lhasa-Samye Monastery (Tsedang)

This early morning we’ll drive out of Lhasa for about 180km for Samye Monastery, the oldest Buddhist monastery in Tibet. We may take a ferry crossing the Yarlung Tsangpu river there, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the river valley. After sightseeing at Samye Monastery, we’ll get to Tsedang.

Day 5 Sightseeing in Yarlung Valley

We’ll visit the following spots for sightseeing in this valley:

Yumbulakhang – the first palace in Tibet. It is a castle-like structure located on top of a hill from where you can enjoy the beauty of the valley plain surround by mountains;

Trundruk Monastery – an important monastery in history with precious relics and treasures. It is located at the mountain foot to east of Yarlung River.

Optional: we can drive back to Lhasa this day if you wish to feel Lhasa again before leaving. There will be some extra for the transport and accommodation then.

Day 6 Depature

Gonggar airport is about 100km from Tsedang. Today we’ll drive you there for the plane to your next destination. Your wonderful Tibet Tour ends.
