Cancellation policy

If you would like to cancel your confirmed bookings, please send us a notice in writing (e-mail or fax) as early as possible prior to your arrival. In such case, a cancellation charge of 100USD/p.p will be retained. Meanwhile you are responsible for any charge from any third party involved in the tour arrangements such as the airline, railway, hotel etc. caused by your cancellation. And the rest of the money will be refunded to you accordingly within 30 days after we receive your cancellation notice. For no-show or if you cancel part or all of your tour during traveling due to your own reasons, there will be no refund for any payment you made.

Holy City and Holy Lake Tour I

Standing at the mountain nearby, you’ll see the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake is just like a holy sapphire embraced by snow-capped mountains. The lake is the closest holy lake to Lhasa among the “Great Three Lakes” in Tibet. Extending the Lhasa exploration tour to this holy lake is an ideal option for tourists who want to enjoy more natural beauty of Tibet in limited travel time.

There are many beautiful lakes in Tibet and among them, the most famous are the “Great Three Holy Lakes” – Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, Namtso Lake and Lake Manasarovar. The last two are more challenge as Namtso Lake is located at a high altitude above 4700m and Manasarovar is located in the far western Tibet. Among the three, Yamdrok Yumtso Lake is the easiest one to be reached.

Day 01 Arrival

Your Tibet tour starts from the comfortable transfer to your hotel in Lhasa. Acclimatization to the altitude after check-in. 

Day 02 Lhasa City – Tibetan History, Culture and People

Visit the most important sights in Lhasa - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The specific sightseeing order shall follow the visit time as shown on your Potala Palace’s entrance tickets. 

Day 03 Lhasa City – Tibetan Buddhism and people

Visit the great Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and a local Tibetan family. During the visit of the monasteries, you’ll have a great view of the Lhasa valley.

Day 04 Lhasa-Yamdrok-Lhasa

In the fresh morning air, we’ll drive about 120km to the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake via Khamba La Pass. Enjoy the natural scenery of the lake enough and then drive back to Lhasa. The rest time will be free for you to explore the old city.. 

Day 05 Departure

The tour guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help check in if necessary. Your wonderful Tibet tour ends.
