The above price is based on a group of 4 people travelling in recent seasons. It includes the accommodation at a 3-star hotel in Lhasa and Shigatse, one private car, driver and local Tibetan English-speaking tour guide, etc.

Lhasa-Gyantse-Shigase-Mt. Everest-Namtso Lake-Lhasa

It is an ideal option for tourists who would like to have a hightlight tour in Tibet for around 10 days. It includes exploration to Mt. Everest in the south and Namtso Lake in the north, both are among the top sights in whole Tibet.

Namtso Lake is the highest salty lake in the world and also one of the Three Great Holy Lakes in Tibet. It offers stunning natural beauty with the Himalaya mountain beside it. There is a love legend between the beautiful lake and mountain and every year many couples from home and abroad come to visit the lake to pray for their love and family.

Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive in Lhasa

Meet and transfer you to the hotel in Lhasa. Rest time is for acclimatization.

Day 02-03 Sightsee in Lhasa

Visit the most important sights in Lhasa for two days: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Day 04 Lhasa-Gyantse

This early morning, we'll drive out of Lhasa to the historical town - Gyantse via Khambala Pass and Karola Pass. On the way, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and upon arrival, visit the Pelkhor Monastery and its notable Kumbu Stupa.

Day 05 Gyantse-Shigatse-Tingri

After breakfast, we'll drive about 90km to Shigatse and visit the welknown Tashilumpo Monastery. Then we'll drive another 250km to Tingri via Gantsola Pass where you may view Mt. Everest in distance.

Day 06 Tingri-Mt. Everest Base Camp

It is about 100km from Tingri to Rongbuk Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp. You can hike or take the reserve's bus from the Monastery to the Base Camp for the life-long experience with the most famous mountain in the world. 

Day 07 Mt. Everest - Shigatse

Enjoy the splendid early morning view of Mt. Everest and drive back to Shigatse, relax upon arrival.

Day 08 Shigatse-Namso Lake

Drive about 420km to the heavenly lake - Namtso. It is located at around 4,718m and the highest salty lake in the world. Upon arrival, enjoy the glorious evening view of the lake and the mountain beside it.  

Day 09 Namtso Lake-Lhasa

Enjoy the sunrise over Namtso Lake and drive back to Lhasa. On the way, pay a visit to Yangpancheng Hot Spring where you can take a bath at own cost.

Day 10 Leave

Today we'll transfer you to the airport or train station and your wonderful Tibet Himalayan trip ends.
