When you have around 10 days for your trip in Tibet and would like to have more cultural experience, you can consider this tour to Mt. Everest Base Camp and explore the mystical Yarlung Valley (Tsedang) for an up close encounter with Tibetan culture.
Yarlung Valley is known as the Cradle of Tibetan civilization. With a visit to the famous Samye Monastery in the valley, you will learn more about Tibetan culture and history. Yarlung Zangpu River is called Brahmaputra River in India and is the mother river of Tibetan people.

Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa
Meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Lhasa. Upon arrival, take rest to get used to the thin air environment.
Day 2 Sightsee in Lhasa
Visit the majestic Potala Palace, solemn Jokhang Temple and the busy Barkhor Street around the Temple. Evening pay a visit to a local Tibetan family if possible.
Day 3 Sightsee in Lhasa
Further exploration of the ancient city will lead you to two great monasteries - Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.
Day 4 Lhasa-Yarlung Valley (Tsedang)
This morning, we'll drive about 240km to the famous Samye Monastery in the Yarlung Valley, known as the Cradle of Tibetan Civilization. The Monastery is the first Buddhism monastery in Tibet with spectacular architecture combined with Indian, Nepaless and Chinese styles.
Day 5 Tsedang-Gyantse
After breakfast, drive about 330km to Gyantse via Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and KaroLa Glacier. Upon arrival, visit the superb Pelkhor Monastery.
Day 6 Gyantse-Shigatse-Tingri
In the fresh morning air, we'll first drive about 90km to Shigatse and visit the most important sight there - Tashilumpo Monastery. Then we'll drive another 250km to Tingri via GantsoLa Pass (5220m).
Day 7 Tingri-Mt. Everest Base Camp
Today we'll drive the 100km from Tingri to Rongbuk Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp to enjoy the life-long experience with the highest mountain in the world. You can hike about 2hrs from the Monastery to the Base Camp.
Day 8 Mt. Everest Base Camp-Shigatse
Enjoy the gorgeous sunrise over Mt. Everest and then we'll drive back to Shigatse, strolling around the old town upon arrival if time permits.
Day 9 Shigatse-Lhasa
Drive back to Lhasa and enjoy the last stay at the holy city.
Day 10 Leave
Transfer you to the airport or train station and we'll see you off there. Your wonderful Tibet Mt. Everest tour ends.
