The above price is for joining in recent seasons (per person per package).

The price includes:

  1. Accommodation at a 3-star hotel in Lhasa and Shigatse on twin-sharing basis
  2. Meals: the welcome dinner and breakfasts as listed in the itinerary
  3. Vehicle: appropriate vehicle according to group size and travel season
  4. All necessary Tibet travel permits (TTB / PSB) 
  5. Lhasa railway pick-up and drop-off service
  6. Lhasa airport pick-up and drop-off service at appointed timings 
  7. One experienced Tibetan English-speaking tour guide 
  8. All entrance tickets of sightseeing places as noted in the itinerary (except optional ones if any)

Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse - Lhasa (5 nights / 6 days)

Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa

Meet you at the train station or airport and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa City. Upon arrival, rest and try to adapt to the high altitude. It is not advised to take bath on your first day arrival in Lhasa.

At this evening or tomorrow evening, we'll hold a welcome dinner for you to meet other group members. You may make new friends after travelling together for a few days in TIbet. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 2 Lhasa [B]

Explore one of the two sights in the morning: Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery of Gelugpa Sect of Tibet Buddhism; or Drak Yerpa, a holy place with many meditation caves in the quiet Yerpa valley.

And in the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery where you can see the interesting debate among monks on the Buddhist doctrines, whichs is considered a learning process of Tibetan Buddhism. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 3 Lhasa [B]

Visit the “must-see” sights in Lhassa incl. Potala Palace, the symbol of Tibetan people’s wisdom and power; Jokhang Temple, the ultimate religious destination for Tibetan pilgrims; and the Barkhor Street, a business street and also a pilgrimage circuit in Lhasa. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse [B]

After breakfast, we’ll drive out of Lhasa to Gyantse, a historically important town in Tibet. On the way, we’ll visit Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, one of the “Great Three Lakes” in Tibet, and the Karola Glacier. When arrival in Gyantse, we’ll visit the Pelkhor Monastery which is famous for its Kumbum of 108 chapels. Before end today’s tour, we’ll drive another 2hrs to Shigatse, the south-central city in Tibet. Overnight hotel in Shigatse.

Day 5 Shigatse-Lhasa [B]

Visit Tashilumpo Monastery in Shigatse, the traditional seat of Panchen Lama and then we’ll drive back to Lhasa or take train back (we reserve the right to decide which way to be taken finally). Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 6 Departure [B]

Today we’ll transfer you to the airport or railway station. Your wonderful Central Tibet tour ends.
