Cancellation policy

If you would like to cancel your confirmed bookings, please try to notice us in writing (e-mail or fax) as early as possible prior to your arrival. In such case, a cancellation charge of 100USD/p.p will be retained. Meanwhile you are responsible for any charge from the third party involved in the tour arrangements such as the airline, railway, hotel etc. caused by your cancellation. And the rest money will be refunded to you accordingly within 30 days after we receive your cancellation notice. For no-show or if you cancel part or all of your tour during traveling due to your own reasons, there will be no refund for any payment you made.

With this in-depth cultural exploration tour in Tibet, you’ll visit all the main sights in Lhasa, the famous Samye Monastery in Yarlung Valley, the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, the architectural wonders of Tibet – Kumbu Stupa at Pelkhor Monatery in Gyantse and the great Tashilumpo Monastery in Shigatse. You also have more chances to interact with local Tibetan people.

It is a good Tibet tour choice for family vacation with kids and elderly people. It covers all the four most important cities and towns in central Tibet:

Lhasa - the holy city of Tibet with many outstanding cultural sights. It is a place full of mystery and you may get pleasant surprises during every hour of your stay here;

Shannan - Cradle of Tibetan Civilization. It is located along the Yarlung Tsangpu River in the beautiful Yarlung Valley;

Gyantse -  the ‘hero’ city in Tibet where local Tibetan people fought with foreign invaders in history;

Shigatse - the second largest city in Tibet and also the cultural center in "Rear" Tibet.

Day 01 Arrival in Lhasa

Your Tibetan tour guide will meet and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. The rest time is free for you to acclimatize. o/n hotel in Lhasa.

Day 02 Lhasa Exploration

Visiting Tibet's most beautiful wonder – Potala Palace, the religious center in the region – Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Street around the temple where you can see many pilgrims circumambulating the holy path. o/n hotel in Lhasa.

Day 03 Lhasa Exploration

Visiting two great Gelugpa university monasteries in Lhasa - Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. And at evening, pay a visit to a local Tibetan family.  o/n hotel in Lhasa.

Day 04 Lhasa-Samye Monastery (Yarlung Valley, Tsedang)

Samye Monastery is the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet. It has a special layout in line with the universe as described in sutras. The central building combines the Tibetan, Chinese and Indian styles. It is located in Yarluang Valley, Shannan prefection about 200km from Lhasa. o/n hotel in Tsedang.

Day 05 Tsedang-Gyantse

After breakfast, we'll drive about 320km from Tsedang to Gyantse, the “Hero City” in history. En-route, we’ll visit the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, one of the three largest scared lakes in Tibet. When arrive in Gyantse, we’ll visit the main sight there – Pelkhor Monastery (also called Pelkor Chorde Monastery) which is famous for its notable Kumbu Stupa (Kumbum) with 108 chapels.

Day 06 Gyantse-Shigatse

It is about 90km from Gyantse to Shigatse, another important tourist city in Tibet. Tashilumpo Monastery there is the symbol of Shigatse. It was founded by the First Dalai Lama and later become the traditional seat of Panchen Lamas. The monastery houses a gigantic statue of the Maitreya Bhuddha made of gold, cooper and brass. Later in the afernoon, we’ll take a pleasant walk in the old town and visit the local bazaar where you may get some rare souvenirs.

Day 07 Shigatse-Lhasa

Drive about 280km back to Lhasa through Nyemo. Free at leisure for the rest time.

Day 08 Departure

Today our tour guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and see you off there. Your wonderful Tibet culture exploration tour ends.
