Trek from the famous Gandan Monastery to the great Samye Monastery is among the most popular trekking tours in Tibet. During the trip, you’ll enjoy the beautiful landscape of Himalayas with lakes, forests, meadows and valleys.

We’ll first have several days of sightseeing in Lhasa for acclimatization and then drive to Gandan Monastery to start our trek there. Our jeeps will then leave and wait for us at our ending point – Samye Monastery. To not be so tight on road, we may start with the trek right after visitting Gandan Monastery. The trek usually takes about 5 days and is available from April to November. In the summer time, it offers its best scenery in the year with green forests, alpine meadows and wild flowers..
