This tour is not available at the moment because the Tibet-Nepal border town of Zhangmu still remains closed to tourists. It is said the situation will remain the same for the rest of 2015 and well into 2016. Flying in and out is now the main connection between Lhasa and Kathmandu.

The above price is based on a group of 4 people travelling in recent seasons. It includes the accommodation at a 3-star hotel in Lhasa and Shigatse, one private car, driver and local English-speaking tour guide, etc.

This Mt. Everest tour is for entering Tibet from Kathmandu, Nepal. It includes the similar sightseeing as that of the Mt. Everest tour from Lhasa. Enroute you'll enjoy the panoramic view of the Himalayan range.

Kathmandu is another important port for entering into Tibet. With this Mt. Everest tour, we'll travel the famous Tibet-Nepal friendship highway to Lhasa, and on the way, visit the Mt. Everest Base Camp and all main sights along the highway incl. Tashilumpo Monastery in Shigatse, Pelkhor Monastery and Yamdrok Yumtso Lake in Gyantse as well as the fabulous sights in Lhasa.

Day 1 Kathmandu-Nyalam

Our Tibetan tour guide will meet you at the Nepal-Tibet border and drive you to Nyalam via Zhangmu. Upon arrival, rest for acclimatization. (it is easy to get transport from Kathmandu to the border. If necessary, we can also help you arrange the private transport there).

Day 2 Nyalam-Lao Tingri

It is about 150km from Nyalam to Lao Tingri and enjoy the panorama of the Himalayan range enroute. Rest time for further acclimatization.

Day 3 Lao Tingri-Mt. Everest Base Camp-Tingri (Shegar)

Drive from Lao Tingri to Rongbuk Monastery and Mt. Everest Base Camp. You can hike for about 2hrs from Rongbuk to the Base Camp for the life-time experience with the world's highest mountain..After enjoy the awesome view of Mt. Everest, we’ll drive to Tingri (Shegar).

Day 4 Tingri-Shigatse

Drive about 250km to Shigatse, the second cultural center of Tibet, via Gantsola Pass. We'll visit the notable Tashilumpo Monastery and stroll around the old town for the nicely deocrated Tibetan houses and interesting local bazaar.

Day 5 Shigatse-Gyantse-Lhasa

After breakfast, drive about 90km to the historical town of Gyantse and visit the wellknown Pelkhor Monastery and its superb Kumbu Stupa. Then we'll drive another 270km to Lhasa, enroute visiting the beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake.

Day 6 - 7 Sightsee in Lhasa

Visit all main sights of Lhasa including the splendid Potala Palace, sacred Jokhang Temple, the bustling Barkhor Street, the great Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.

Day 8 Leave

Today we'll transfer you to the airport for the plane to your next destination. Your wonderful Nepal-Tibet Mt. Everest tour ends.
