The above price is for joining in recent seasons (per person per package).

The price includes:

Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse - Tingri (Shegar) - Mt. Everest Base Camp - Lhasa (7 nights / 8 days)

Travel to the highest mountain in the world from Lhasa and get a cherish and unforgettable memory back home. This tour leads you to the main cultural centers in Tibet including Lhasa, Gyantse and Shigatse as well as the famous Mt. Everest Base Camp. Great view of the Himalayas will accompany you in the whole trip. And at the end, we’ll get back to Lhasa to explore the old city again..

Day 1 Landing in Lhasa

When arrival in Lhasa, please look for your name sign or the group sign, our staff will be waiting for you at the train station or the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the old area of Lhasa City. Take rest for acclimatization upon arrival. Overnight hotel in Lhasa. 

Day 2 Sightseeing in Lhasa [B]

We'll start our exploration of the old city from its quiet suburb area. This morning, we'll visit Drepung Monastery, the world's largest Gelugpa monastery once housing more than 10,000 monks, or Drak Yerpa in the beautiful Yerpa Valley, it is a holy place with deep religious meanings in Tibetan spiritual culture. And in the afternoon, we'll visit Sera Monastery where you'll have the chance to see the interesting Buddhist debate between Lamas.

At evening (or tomorrow evening), a welcome dinner will be held for the group. We'll have customers from all over the world, enjoy yourself to meet people from different countries and culture!

Day 3 Sightseeing in Lhasa [B]

Today we'll visit the famous Potala Palace, the landmark of Lhasa and Tibet. It is located on Mt. Marpo Ri (the "Red Hill") and you can have a bird-eye view of the beautiful Lhasa valley there. And then we'll get to the old town area for Jokhang Temple, an ultimate pilgrimage destination to Tibetan pilgrims, and the bustling Barkhor Street around the Temple. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse [B]

After the sightseeing in Lhasa, we'll drive out of the city to Gyantse, a historical town in Tibet, via the Khambala Pass and Karola Pass. En route, visit the fascinating Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and Karola Glacier. When arrival, visit the Pelkhor Monastery and its superb Kumbum Stupa. Before we end this day's tour, we'll keep driving another 90km for Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Overnight hotel in Shigatse.

Day 5 Shigatse - Mt. Everest Reserve [B]

Get up early and we'll drive all the way (about 350km) to Rongbuk Monastery in Mt. Everest Reserve. On the way, you can get superb view of the Himalayan Range at the mountain passes. We'll arrive at the monastery in late afternoon or evening. This monastery is small and a wonderful place to view Mt. Everest. Upon arrival, you can just hang around to take photos or visit the monastery on your own at 25CNY/p.p (approx. 4USD/p.p).

In the season of May-October, we usually stay overnight at the tourists tents of the Mt. Everest Base Camp, and in the cold season of Nov-April, we'll just stay overnight at the Rongbuk guest house. At both places, you can enjoy the glorious sunset over Mt. Everest in clear days.

Day 6 Mt. Everest Reserve - Shigatse

This morning, the breakfast is not included due to limited local condition (food there is simple and expensive in some seasons). You are kindly recommended to bring some food from Lhasa or Shigatse such as cookies, instant coffee, fruits, etc.

Enjoy sunrise over Mt. Everest at Mt. Everest Base Camp, the view is just awesome! After the close 'touch' with the highest mountain in the world, we'll drive back to Shigatse. Relax upon arrival. Overnight hotel in Shigatse.

Day 7 Shigatse - Lhasa [B]

Visit the foremost attraction in Shigatste - Tashilumpo Monastery, one of the 'Six Great' monasteries of Gelugpa. And then we'll drive back to Lhasa along the Yarlung Tsangpu river. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 8 Departure [B]

On this last day in Lhasa, our staff will meet you at your hotel and drive you to the airport. And if you leave by train, we'll arrange the transport for you to the train station accordingly. Your wonderful Tibet Lhasa-Mt. Everest tour ends.
