The above price is for recent seasons per person per package. Please kindly note that as the road to Namtso Lake is usually closed in winter, this Lhasa - Mt. Everest - Namtso Lake package is available only from April to October.

The price includes:

Lhasa - Mt. Everest - Namtso Lake - Lhasa Tour (9 nights / 10 days)

Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa

Meet you at the airport or train station and transfer you to the hotel in Lhasa. From the airport, it usually takes about 1.5hrs and from the train station, about only 20 minutes. Due to the tight sleeper train tickets to Lhasa in May - October, clients travelling in the season are kindly advised to take the train journey when get back at the end of the tour if possible. Day 2 Sightseeing Lhasa [B]

Our first day sightseeing in Lhasa will lead you to the "quiet" surrounding area. This morning, we'll visit Drepung Monastery or Drak Yerpa. Drepung Monastery was once the world's largest monastery housing more than 10,000 monks; and Drak Yerpa is known as 'the shrine of Lhasa' for its meditation caves in the nice valley. In the afternoon, we'll visit Sera Monastery where the debate over doctrine is regularly held between Lamas, which is regarded as the learning process of Tibetan Buddhism.

This evening or tomorrow evening, a welcome dinner will be held for the group. We have clients from all over the world and you may meet people from different countries and culture. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 3 Sightseeing Lhasa [B]

Today we'll visit the splendid Potala Palace, the solemn Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Street around the temple. Potala Palace is a world's heritage site from where you can have a bird-eye view of the whole Lhasa city surrounded with undulating mountain ranges. Jokhang Temple is located in the old downtown area and on top of it, you'll see the tall buildings of Potala Palace in distance. At the Barkhor Street, you'll see many pilgrims conducting the holy circuit. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse [B]

After the sightseeing in Lhasa, we'll drive to Gyantse and Shigatse via Khambala Pass and Karola Pass. On the way, we'll visit the dazzling Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and the Karola Glacier. And when arrive in Gyantse, we'll visit the Pelkhor Monastery and its Kumbum. Then we'll drive further to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Overnight hotel in Shigatse.

Day 5 Shigatse - Mt. Everest Reserve [B]

It is about 350km from Shigatse to Rongbuk Monastery in the Mt. Everest reserve. As there is strict limit on drive speeding, we may arrive the monastery late in the afternoon. En route you can enjoy the superb view, especially at the mountain passes. And when arrival, you can rest, walk around the monastery for some nice photos of Mt. Everest or visit the monastery on your own cost (entrance fee at 25CNY/p.p approx. 4USD/p.p).

Day 6 Mt. Everest Reserve - Shigatse

Take the reserve's bus for the last scenic kilometers to Mt. Everest Base Camp and enjoy the awesome view of the highest mountain in the world there.. After the sightseeing, we'll drive back to Shgiatse. Overnight hotel in Shigatse.

Day 7 Shigatse - Lhasa [B]

After breakfast, we'll first visit the foremost sight in Shigatse - Tashilumpo Monastery which houses the world's largest copper sitting statue of Maitreya. And then we'll drive back to Lhasa. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 8 Lhasa - Namtso Lake [B]

In the fresh morning air, drive about 250km to the famous Heavenly Lake in northern Tibet for the fantastic scenery there. This large Namtso Lake is located beside the snow-capped Mt. Nyenchen Thanggula and is the highest salty water lake in the world. Overnight guest house at Namtso.

Day 9 Namtso Lake - Lhasa

Enjoy sunrise of Namtso Lake and then we'll drive back to Lhasa. On the way, pay a visit to Yangpanchen Hot Spring. It is optional to take the spring bath there at your own expense. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 10 Departure [B]

Free at leisure and our staff will meet you at hotel and drive you to the airport for your flight back home. If you'll leave by train, we can arrange the individual drop-off service for you accordingly. Your wonderful Tibet Lhasa - Mt . Everest - Namtso Lake tour ends.
