Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse - Namtso Lake - Lhasa (7 nights / 8 days)
Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa
Meet and transfer you to the hotel in Lhasa. Upon arrival, please take rest to try to adapt the high altitude. It is not advised to take bath or do many activities on your first two days in Lhasa.
Day 2 Lhasa [B]
Our sightseeing of the old city may start from the great Drepung Monastery or Drak Yepa in Lhasa surrounding area. Drepung Monastery is the largest monastery of Gelugpa Order of Tibetan Buddhism; Drak Yepa is the place once used by many holy lamas for meditation. And in the afternoon, we'll pay a visit to Sera Monastery where you can see the interesting debate between Lamas over doctrines.
This evening or next evening, we'll hold the welcome dinner for group members to meet each other.

Day 3 Lhasa [B]
Visit the "must-see" places of Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Street around the temple. Potala Palace is a museum of Tibetan history and culture. It is also a great view point of the Lhasa city. Jokhang Temple is recognized as the center of Lhasa old town and the pilgrimage destination to local people. Around the Temple is the busy Barkhor Street where many pilgrims making the holy kora around Jokhang Temple every day. There are some nice restaurants, tea houses and coffee bars in the area, which you can enjoy yourself at evening. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.
Day 4 Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse [B]
In the fresh morning air, we'll leave Lhasa for Gyantse and Shigatse, another two cultural centers in middle Tibet area. On the way, we'll visit the stunning beautiful Yamdrok Yumtso Lake with the great far view of the snow-capped Mt. Nojin Kangstang (7191m) and the Karola Glacier which is the most accessible glacier in Tibet Plateau. When arrive in Gyantse, visit the notable Pelkhor Monastery and the monumental Kumbum Stupa. Day 5 Shigatse - Lhasa [B]
After breakfast, we'll visit the most important sight in Shigatse - Tashilumpo Monastery. It has more than 500 years history housing now about 800 Lamas. Then we'll drive or take the train back to Lhasa. Overnight hotel in Lhasa .
Day 6 Lhasa - Namtso Lake [B]
Namtso Lake is known as the highest salt water lake in Tibet and also called Heaven Lake by local people. With the faraway view of the snow-capped Mt. Nyencheng Tanggula, you can do a bit trekking at the lake side. In clear days, you'll enjoy glorious sunset over the beautiful lake. Overnight guest house at Namtso.
Day 7 Namtso Lake - Lhasa
Enjoy sunrise over Namtso Lake and then we'll drive back to Lhasa. On the way, pay a visit to Yangpanchen Hot Spring where you can take a short bath at own cost. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.
Day 8 Departure [B]
Today we'll transfer you to the airport or railway station for the flight / train to your next destination. Your wonderful Middle Tibet with Namtso Lake tour ends.
