This Mt. Everest Climbing tour is available from May to October. The price above is estimated for a group of 8 people traveling in next May-June. It includes 4-star hotels in Lhasa / Shigatse on twin-sharing basis, all transport, all necessary Tibet travel permits, the mountaineering permit, local tour guide's service, yaks / yakman as well all entrance fee. It is a big challenge to climb Mt. Everest and still many tourists from home and abroad would like to try it once in a life time. It is an adventure tour of courage and confidence. This might be the highest trekking route in the world that brings common tourists as close as possible to the summit of Mt. Everest. It does not require you must be a professional mountain climber but just with the basic climbing gears and mountaineering skills. With this tour, we'll climb from Mt. Everest Base Camp to the Intermediate Camp and further to the Advanced Base Camp.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Lhasa

Meet you at the railway station or the airport in Lhasa, and transfer to hotel. After check in, please just take rest for acclimatization. It is not advised to do many activities in the first two days of arrival in Lhasa. Please walk slowly and drink extra water. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 2 Lhasa Sightseeing

Visit the grand Potala Palace, the holy Jokhang Temple and the interesting Barkhor Street. These three sights are the well-known "must-see" attractions in Lhasa. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Day 3 Lhasa Sightseeing

Further sightseeing in Lhasa will lead you to the great Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight hotel in Lhasa.

Note: During your sightseeing in Lhasa, please always walk slowly and keep good mood to relax and leave time for your body to get used to the altitude, which is important for next few days travel in Tibet as well as the climbing of Mt. Everest.

Day 4 Lhasa - Gyantse

Start early in the morning and drive about 270km to Gyantse through Khambala Pass and Karola Pass. On the way, we'll visit Yamdrok Yumtso Lake where you could be deeply touched by the picturesque scenery of the holy lake. When arrive at Gyantse, we'll visit the Pelkhor Monastery and its unique Kumbum Stupa. Overnight hotel in Gyantse.

Day 5 Gyantse - Shigatse - Lhatse

Drive about 2hrs to Shigatse and visit Tashilumpo Monastery there which is the largest Gelugpa Monastery in "Rear Tibet". And then we'll enjoy the leisure walk at the local bazaar below Shigatse Zong. Before end today's tour, we'll drive further to the small Tibetan town - Lhatse. Overnight hotel in Lhatse.

Day 6 Lhatse - Sakya - Rongbuk Monastery

Sakya Monastery is about 60km from Lhatse and is a main Buddhist school in Tibet. After sightseeing there, we'll drive all the way to Rongbuk Monastery inside the Mt. Everest Reserve via the Gyalpo-la Pass where you could have great view of Mt. Everest in far distance. Overnight at Rongbuk Guest House or EBC Tent Guest House.

Day 7 Trek Rongbuk Monastery - Mt. Everest Base Camp

Our trekking starts from Rongbuk Monastery and on the way, we'll see the famous Rongbuk Glacier, the largest one among all hundreds of glaciers around Mt. Everest. The Rongbuk Chu (River) is originated from the glaciers. Overnight Camping.

Day 8 Climb Mt. Everest from EBC to Camp 1 (5460m)

Today comes our first challenge - climbing to Base Camp 1. We'll take the trail assent to the east of Rongbuk Glacier heading to Mt. Everest peak. The route is short but due to the high altitude, many people still feel hard. Just relax and enjoy the amazing view of the area. Overnight Camping.

Day 9 Climb Mt. Everest from Camp 1 to Interim Camp (5,760m)

Climb from gravel hills to the west of the glaciers to Interim Camp. This will be another scenic day and you'll find ice pinnacies surround you in all directions. Overnight Camping.

Day 10 Climb Mt. Everest from Interim Camp to Camp 2 (5,970m)

As we ascend to the intricate maze of ice, we'll meet up with the Changste Glacier. At Camp 2, there are various glaciers and hanging ice around. Overnight Camping.

Day 11 Climb Mt. Everest from Camp 2 to ABC (6,340M) and back to Camp 2

Complete the last climb to Advanced Base Camp (also called Camp 3) which lies in the center of flattened gravel mounds beside the glaciers. It is about 2,400m from the Mt. Everest top and shall be the closest point available to common tourists. After the sightseeing, we'll get back to Camp 2 (if you wish, we can also stay overnight at ABC). Overnight Camping.

Day 12 trek back from Camp 2 to Rongbuk Monastery

Trek back to Rongbuk Monastery and enjoy the marvelous scenery of the highest mountain the world again. Our great trek ends when we arrive at Rongbuk. Overnight Rongbuk Guest House or EBC Tent Guest House.

Day 13 Rongbuk Monastery - Shigatse

Drive all the way back to Shigatse with the unforgettable memory of climbing Mt. Everest!

Day 14 Shigatse - Lhasa

Drive back to Lhasa and relax upon arrival.

Day 15 Departure

Today we'll transfer you to the railway station or airport and your wonderful Mt. Everest climbing tour ends. Many tourists noted us that when they got back home, they felt their lives are completely changed since then..

Cancellation Policy

This Mt. Everest climbing tour must be arranged well in advance. If you would like to cancel your confirmed bookings, please try to notice us in writing (e-mail or fax) as early as possible prior to your arrival. In such case, a cancellation charge of 300USD/p.p will be retained. Meanwhile you are responsible for any charge from the third party involved in the tour arrangements such as the airline, railway, hotel etc. caused by your cancellation. And the rest money will be refunded to you accordingly within 30 days after we receive your cancellation notice. For no-show or if you cancel part or all of your tour during traveling due to your own reasons, there will be no refund for any payment you made.
